Masiko Round Ceramic Vase

Masiko region pot from the 1960s. Attributed to Shōji Hamada.

This large, full-bodied vase is finished with a deep brown glaze that shifts subtly in tone depending on the light. The glossy surface enhances the rounded shape and reveals faint speckling throughout. A simple form with quiet weight and presence. (one of two)
